Remote Handling

The MAS 3 tank module enables diesel-driven outdoor vehicles such as the caterpillar excavator to be refuelled by remote control, thereby considerably increasing the operation time in contaminated areas.

The tank module consist of a 1,000 litre diesel tank contained within a steel frame, a diesel pump, a filling gun, tank hose, cable rewind assembly and an electricity generator for providing the power supply.

For the refuelling process, MAS 3 is placed on the transport trailer, the refuelling hose and electric cables are installed and the filling gun placed in the right-hand tool magazine. Refuelling itself is performed by remote control from the SMF control centre.
